Measure temperatures remotely
AXIS F2180-TE can remotely monitor temperatures from -10 to 450 °C (14 to 842 °F), so you don’t need to be on site to know if your equipment is close to overheating. It notifies you if the temperature passes a set threshold, or if it increases or decreases too rapidly within an area. Deviation detection alerts you if there’s temperature differences across measurement areas. This ensures you have time to act and avoid downtime, increasing operational efficiency. It supports up to four configurable polygonal detection areas per sensor unit. Plus, spot temperature reading shows the exact temperature in specific areas. Furthermore, through metadata, you’ll have access to temperature statistics.

Monitor with a discreet sensor unit
With its compact form factor, AXIS F2180-TE offers discreet installation. It blends seamlessly into indoor applications and is ideal for installation in, for example, data centers, battery storage, charging stations, production facilities, and inside vehicles. Based on a divided network camera concept, it can be placed away from the main unit, and only the small sensor is externally visible. Furthermore, when maintenance or upgrade is needed, the cable can be left in place. So, you can quickly remove the sensor unit and update or replace it as needed.

Unlock modular flexibility
Designed for maximum flexibility, AXIS F2180-TE connects to AXIS F91 Mk II main units using a ruggedized SMA-FAKRA connector with cables up to 30 m (98 ft). When used with AXIS F9114-R Mk II, up to four sensor units can be used simultaneously, both thermal and visual. For instance, you can combine it with multiple thermal sensors or with visual sensors from AXIS F Series, enabling visual verification. This allows you to create a tailored, cost-efficient solution and monitor various points of interest at once. There’s also a variety of accessories available for wall and recessed mounting.
